Obama Changes Health Reform Tenor Slightly in Colorado

With just a precious few weeks to go until the final votes are underway in the Great Health Care Debate of 2009, President Obama is wasting little time in getting his message out. A major complaint in his early attempts to beat back critics was his lack of specifics on what exactly his healthcare plan would cost — essentially, who was going to foot the bill … and for whom. At today’s event in Grand Junction, CO., we really didn’t get an answer.

No one is holding the insurance companies accountable for these practices. But we will. We’re going to ban arbitrary caps on benefits. And we’ll place limits on how much you can be charged for out-of-pocket expenses.

As feared, it appears as though Obama is making the argument for a case in insurance reform, as opposed to true healthcare reform.

The message caps a week in which passionate debate in townhalls all across America lived up to that billing, only to whet the appetite for something Obama will probably not want to hear once September rolls around: the tide of public opinion on this matter is unnecessarily and unfortunately turning against him. | LINK

A silver bullet was indeed promised: Mult-millionaire Michael Moore said vote Obama, who would tax the rich into providing all the funds needed to support free and universal health care for all, regardless of race, creed, color.

Mr. Obama – I voted for you, but your health care plans are vague at best and frightening at worst. There are a few elephants in the room that have gone unmentioned, and I would like to point out one of them.

At the risk of being harshly non-PC, there is a magic bullet: drastically cutting the weight of Americans. Many problem illnesses: diabetes, heart issues, and stroke are directly tied to excessive weight gain. I am all for a fat tax that will radically alter the landscape of American’s health.

Weight IS something individuals have control over, which like smoking, should be a penalized risk-factor in the insurance/health care arena. But it’s not PC to say that… Human beings are biologically programmed to eat, yes, but we manage to avoid the temptations of multiple biological urges every single day. Sexual urges are socially regulated. As is violence in general society. A little more social scorn, and taxation proportional to the burden one voluntarily places on the system, would radically reduce health care costs, improve the health of Americans, and maybe give thousands of people the self-esteem that comes from living at an optimal level.

I got emails telling me to be sure and watch Hannity on FOX NEWS last
Sunday night because he was going to expose some very important stuff

about O’bama. I watched it and they did talk about him and some of the

stuff he did in the past but nothing we did not already know. Well guess

an hour on Sunday night. The Obama Gestapo made them take it
off!!!!!!! Here it is to view b/4 they further remove our rights under
the first amendment. Should we be afraid of what is happening?? You
darn right!!

If I was Mr. Obama and the Presidency a fish, I’d throw it back! Americans don’t seem to want real help or solutions to the rot which has set in deep in our psyches…we just belly ache and whine like spoilt brats every chance we get. Get back your soul, fellow Americans!

Did not vote for Obama, simply because he said and did anything to get elected. From the 2002 quote “I will not seek higher office in 2008″ when he ran for an Illinois senate seat to many of the promises he did not keep; such as the release of Abu Ghraib pictures, among others; not to mention the quote police acted stupidly from his mouth before he knew the details. He once threw his grandmother under the Wright bus now the so called healthcare reform bus. Mr. President, just how many buses are you going to throw your grandmother under?
