A new CNN poll offers up some interesting numbers with respect to popular opinion on health reform, specifically that Americans are apparently evenly split over Barack Obama’s healthcare proposals. What’s even more interesting is that the approval is apparently “indirectly proportional” to most survey respondents’ ages:
“Obama’s plan is most popular among younger Americans and least popular among senior citizens,” says CNN polling director Keating Holland. “A majority of Americans over the age of 50 oppose Obama’s plan; a majority of those under 50 support it.”
It’s pretty clear that – when those whom the plan purports to protect the most approve of the policy the least – that the politics surrounding the issue are in full swing. | LINK
