Just how much of an influence is the financial support recently given by flush third parties having on the legislative process with respect to Obama’s healthcare overhaul plan? As Maine (moderate) Republican Olympia Snowe sees it, apparently not enough. Calling for a “delay” in the so-called public option of healthcare coverage as part of the congressional overhaul, Snowe wants to see how much the insurance companies, for example, can compete against a limited subsidized government plan Obama fashions after Medicare. Of course, some of those insurance companies say they simply can’t. Obama’s pricetag to the taxpayer is about $6.5M per year for the next 10 years to fund his vision. | LINK
