Hold on to your hats, everyone, ‘cuz Hollywood is coming out lobbying for healthcare reform. In LA for the last major regional townhall on healthcare reform in this country,  California Governor Schwarzenegger led a group of celebrity physicians and CEOs — trying to bridge the gap between financing the uninsured and continuing to ensure access for that state’s covered.

“The American system of healthcare is falling far short of its mission — leaving millions of our fellow citizens in poor health and with inadequate care or no care at all,” said Schwarzenegger, who along with other governors, has taken a crack at state reform.

It’s going to take more than wishful rheotric in getting the enormously fragile healthcare financing system going nationwide, California notwithstanding. Up next: the WH needs to make its plans known. President Obama, the pressure is on. | LINK
