– Zero prostate cancer deaths. Zero prostate cancer cases and for those with prostate cancer, it means a zero PSA. Our name conveys what we stand for – zero tolerance for prostate cancer.

So begins the campaign of a patient advocacy group geared towards eradicating prostate cancer once and for all. The Project to End Prostate Cancer, otherwise known as ZERO (the group’s obvious goal for prostate cancer incidence), has grown weary of all of the handwringing and conflicting rhetoric from the myriad facets and authorities framing the debate on prostate cancer screening. Employing initiatives involving everything from charter donations to online social networking, the advocacy organization is taking a full-throttle approach to patient education on a very prevalent and preventable problem. | LINK to ZERO’s blog

UPDATE [3/23/09]: ZERO has good reason to be concerned, as yet another trial fails to demonstrate definitive evidence that prostate cancer screening is globally beneficial. | LINK
