President Barack Obama: It’s in the Numbers
Are you into numerology? Yep, me neither. But you’ve got to admit there’s something prescient about Barack Obama’s ascendancy to the nation’s highest office. And a lot of it has to do with the number 4. First off, he and his wife Michelle, the FLOTUS, are in their forties. He’ll be sworn in as the 44th POTUS, and it was exactly 44 years ago that MLK famously made his declaration that a “Negro” would be elected president within the subsequent 40 years. Four years outside of that promise to the American people can be forgiven, right? On a day as extraordinary as today, you betcha.
