Study: Two Popular Anti-Diabetic Agents Double Fracture Risk in Women
A Wake Forest study will publish the results shorty. Rosiglitazone and pioglitazone, both with scarlet letters of their own (increases in cardiovascular risk) will also have to carry the burden of increasing fracture risk in women (but not men) over 55. Sure, the fine print will have to be fleshed out, but the news places the burden on the prescriber to, once again, refer back to the ever-so-important ratio of risk versus benefit. | LINK
